Killer Whale aka orca

 

 

 

 

 

  • It's scientific class is mammal
  • It's cammon name is orca
  • it's scientific genus Orcinus
  • It lives in the ocean
  • The male is about 6-8 met. long
  • The female is about 5-7 met. long
  • body covering is hair
  • the orca has black and white spotes
  • It is endothermic (warm blooded)
  • it's name of young is a calf
  • groups are pods
  • An orca is a carnivore
  • the orca is black with white arround it's eyes and belly
  • 2 related species are the dolphin and the whale
  • it eats seals
  • an adaparion is when the tempature changes the orca uses it's small ears to loose body heat
  •  to capture food it sennks up on it's pray andbites down on it and rips it apart
  • a whale is at the very top of the food chain and so nothing really eats it
  • a whale has a hard skin and teeth
  • a commensalism relation is a barnical. The barnical grabs on to the orca and gets a free ride nothing happens to the orca.
  • The forms of communication are rapid clicking sounds, whistle,screech,squeek,and other loud noises
